Not looking for a handout
Johnny S. in Delaware
First of all, I'm not looking for a handout, if it winds up as such fine, but I'd rather pay the money back if I'm allowed. I'm a 32 year old truck driver from Delaware. Work is a little slow due to the economy, but i still have a job, and an income. I was told just two days ago that my sister is losing her home to foreclosure. My girlfriend and I have been renting an apartment from her for the last year, and my girlfriend has a chronic pain disorder, she can not work, so I provide for the two of us. I've basically been given two weeks to pack and move, and even with a 650 credit score, I can not get a home loan if it fell on me, and I can't raise the funds needed with my job in the time I've been given to get out. We can not wind up on the street, as far as my girlfriend goes, it would mean her death quite frankly. I hate asking for help, but I do know when to surrender my pride, and it was that time a month ago.
I need around $5,000 to get into an apartment, turn on all the utilities, and somewhat furnish the living room, and fridge. (Apartments around here are stupid expensive, but I do not try to live beyond my means) I can't do this on my own, I know this. If nothing else, please do it for her, she can't take on the world like I have to for the both of us. Practically disabled or not, she is a very good woman, and that is so hard to find with my lifestyle.
Thanks for reading.
